MISSION STATEMENT

In an effort to bond the ever-growing, multicultural, and socioeconomically diverse people who comprise the vast population of California’s Central Valley, we aim to create, perform, and pursue a wide variety of subjects and styles. Through performance and process-driven education programs, we engage, inspire, create, and empower artistic discourse. With special emphasis on youth programs and creating original theater from the ground up, we offer opportunities to local actors, directors, writers, musicians, dancers, designers, technicians, and visual artists.

For over twenty years, we’ve been producing works that range from Shakespeare to Sam Shepard to our first Devised Theater Project, Collecting the Echoes, which was written and performed by local artists. We welcome a wide variety of volunteers who represent our area’s diversity, aim to make work that is accessible to all audiences, and create art that speaks for itself.

ABOUT CENTER STAGE CONSERVATORY

Serving the Central Valley, the non-profit Center Stage Conservatory provides a forum for upcoming local artists and actors at the Lower Level Studio in downtown Modesto. Providing an intimate theater experience, CSC produces a six-show season that includes both contemporary and family productions. CSC also serves the Central Valley’s youth through the Center Stage Youth Summer Conservatory—fostering a creative environment and inspiring a life long involvement in the arts.
